Yuri Simões is a highly accomplished Brazilian grappler, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and mixed martial artist. Born on June 18, 1990, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Simões has become one of the most respected figures in the grappling world.

Simões began his martial arts journey at a young age, starting with judo at four and transitioning to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at nine. He received his black belt from Ricardo Vieira in 2011, later joining Caio Terra's team in 2013.
