Owen Livesey is a distinguished British judoka and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) practitioner who has made significant contributions to both sports. Born on March 16, 1991, in St Helens, Merseyside, England, Livesey began his martial arts journey at a young age, initially focusing on judo.In judo, Livesey achieved remarkable success, representing Great Britain at the highest levels of international competition. His crowning achievement came in 2014 when he won the gold medal in the 81 kg weight class at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. This victory solidified his status as one of the top judokas in the Commonwealth and marked a high point in his judo career.Following his success in judo, Livesey transitioned to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he quickly made a name for himself.
