Craft Your Perfect Day: Adventures, Relaxation, and Jiu Jitsu at Sun & Roll.
You will have the opportunity to mold your experience by either filling your day with our planned events, additional sports, games, exploring the sea and the many little islands with friends on kayaks, paddleboards, small boats or with our planned excursion. Or finding a quiet beach or cove in the nature park reserve Punta just minutes away to regenerate your energy with occasional dips in the sea. If you are in need extra recovery from the long hours of training, we offer our talented in-house team of massage therapists which can be booked on site.
Rolling, Wrestling, Open Mat
Not only will you have time to roll and practice the new techniques after the seminars daily, but we will have some open mats set up close to the shore on some days. There you will be able to further explore ideas with your friends and practice what you’ve learned. We will also be hosting a small friendly beach wrestling competition for our guests as entertainment and laughs.
Yoga
Every morning you have the choice to start the day by waking up your body and mind with some relaxing yoga by the beach. Our talented yoga instructor Melani will guide you on a journey and physically prepare you for an active day of learning. Melani, a jiu jitsu enthusiast herself knows the physical demands of our sport and will guide you through beneficial routines well adapted for jiu jitsu.
Boat Tour
Join us on an adventure at sea. This boat tour is filled with action while still giving you a different perspective of the captivating panorama of Rovinj’s old town. You get to enjoy invigorating swimming breaks at the breathtaking Rovinj islands, carefully chosen by your captain. If you enjoy snorkeling it is well worth bringing your diving mask as some of these places have exciting underwater arches to explore and sea life to admire. You will find places to push your adrenaline levels by diving off the rocks or the boat. Throughout the journey, indulge in refreshing beverages and a fish lunch will get you ready for the next part of the day. A good balance between relaxing in the sun and adventure.
Porton Biondi BBQ + Beach competition
A memorable fun event is planned, combining the enjoyment of a light lunch BBQ with the opportunity to apply previously learned wrestling knowledge in a friendly competition. Participants will have the chance to savor tasty barbecue dishes from the region while competing in a friendly sand wrestling competition that will test their wrestling skills and expertise with many laughs. The event will be on the shores of Porton Biondi where also all types of water sport activities area on offer ensuring that everyone can fully enjoy this fun afternoon out together.
Dinner at traditional Rovinj restaurant
"Brancin" is an authentic restaurant located in the beautiful city of Rovinj, Croatia. It is renowned for its excellent selection of traditional Istrian dishes, particularly specialties made from freshly caught fish such as sea bass, after which the restaurant is named. Visitors often praise the pleasant ambiance and excellent service provided by this gastronomic gem of Rovinj.
Farewell Party
We invite you to a farewell party at Boho Bar which has a beautiful view of the old town. On this special night it is not only our farewell celebration, but also the celebration of the town of Rovinj’s and its church St Euohemia. So, the town will be lively and vibrant with visitors and locals celebrating. It will be a celebration to share laughs with the new friends you made on the mats and the memories you created over the past week. A fun night to soak up the good vibes of late summer and to raise a glass with friends.
Massages
Indulge in a restorative break between hours of jiu jitsu. We all know how tough hours of daily training can be and the impact it can have on our body. This is why we ensured to have our in-house massage therapist available to book for our camp guests. She offers a broad range of different massages which will assist you with a restorative treatment to keep you at your physical best and ready for action.
Water Sports
As you will be staying in Villas Resort right by the sea. You will have endless opportunities to participate in all the water activities they offer. From Scuba diving to hiring jet skis. Paddle board to boat hire. So, you will be free to explore the local shore, many surrounding islands and find your own private sunbathing coves. We will have an additionally planned afternoon on the coast at Porton Biondi which also offers most of the water activities for entertainment.

Izaak Michell: Izaak Michell stands as one of the top-ranked 88kg nogi athletes, captivating audiences with his dynamic grappling style. His qualification for the ADCC Worlds 2024 solidifies his status as one of the most thrilling competitors in the sport today.
Tommy Langaker: Tommy Langaker, a formidable force in the 77kg division and a reigning nogi world champion, has secured his place at the ADCC Worlds 2024. Renowned for his technical prowess and competitive drive, Langaker's style compliment the knowledge and techniques of Izaak making this an all-rounded camp.
Melani Hrastic: YOGA TEACHER, MASSAGE THERAPIST & MIXED MOVEMENT ATHLETE. For over a decade, Melani has been an experienced yoga teacher and massage therapist, with the privilege to work and learn around the globe with many exceptional teachers such as Cameron & Melayne Shayne, Shiva Rea, Janet Stone, Alexandre Ribeiro, and many other. After practicing jiu-jitsu regularly and understanding the need to connect yoga and martial arts as two movement arts that perfectly bind together, she created yoga classes sequenced especially for BJJ athletes. These classes will bring yoga closer to every BJJ practitioner and make you improve the game. During this camp, Melani will be our in-house massage therapist and yoga teacher, offering her classes each morning as a part of the program.

The location of your accommodation is right by the sea, perfect for a dip in the sea any time of the day. Villas Rubin Resort is located in a green oasis along the protected Rovinj coastline opposite many beautiful small islands. In addition to cycling and hiking trails that lead to Rovinj along the coastline, numerous sports and entertainment activities, and swimming pools with slides, there are a large number of natural pebble and rocky beaches. You can choose from a variety of restaurants and bars in the charming woodland overlooking the sea. It has a regular transport service to the town of Rovinj and planned transport to the training facility for each session. But you can always make your own way by bicycle or by foot if you prefer to be more independent.
